This week’s assignments on Google Classroom will show up in your account first thing Monday morning. Those assignments will be due by midnight on Friday. So the assignments posted on April 20 will be due by midnight on Friday April 24. You can work on the assignments at your own pace at any time during the week; you do not have to wait until Friday to work on the assignments. In fact, it would probably be best if you do a little bit each day so that you aren’t overwhelmed at the end of the week.
Our ZOOM meeting time on Friday is changing. There were a LOT of meetings on Friday that overlapped so I have moved the time for ours to hopefully make it more convenient for everyone. I am also shortening the time for each ZOOM meeting; we really only need to meet if you had problems with this week’s assignment or you have any questions, including general questions about the school year. So I will be available for: Yearbook/Tech from 4:00 to 4:15, Spanish 2, 3, & 4 from 4:15 to 4:30, and Spanish 1 from 4:30 to 4:45. I will send you an email update with a new link when I have that set up.
Please check google classroom, canvas, and your email daily to make sure that you are not missing anything in any class. I check my email constantly, so will be available to answer any questions every day. Following is an overview of this week’s assignments. If you are a student who has been identified as having “iffy” internet, all of the following activities were available for you (or a parent) to pick up at school as a paper packet on April 13/14. The packets include ALL work for all 5 weeks.
Spanish 1: We will be working with the Señor Wooly video “Las Excusas”. The vocabulary in this video covers ordinal numbers and activities in neighborhoods and schools. There are 5 activities to complete.
Spanish 2: We will be working with conjugations in the past tense. We will use the Señor Wooly video “Las Excusas”. In addition to general vocabulary practice, we will be working with how the verbs are conjugated and used in the video. There are 5 activities to complete.
Spanish 3 & 4: We will be finishing the novels that you started reading before this all started. Spanish 3 will read chapters 4 and 5 and complete the comprehension questions for the novel “¿Dónde está Eduardo?” And Spanish 4 will read chapters 3, 4, and 5 and complete the comprehension questions for the novel “Los Ojos de Carmen”. The questions have been posted to Google Classroom. For video brain-break, complete the edpuzzle for the Video “Destino”.
Yearbook: We will be practicing proofing and reviewing skills. This week’s worksheet is “Which of the following sentences is grammatically correct?” The worksheet is posted to google classroom and you may submit your answers there or in email. If you aren’t certain of an answer, please do some research and figure it out.
Tech: We will continue working with Khan Academy or with an end of year project. The details for the project along with details about completing Khan Academy have already been emailed to you. And I DID remember to assign the activities through Khan Academy this week. Sorry about that last week.
Stay healthy and safe.
