Good afternoon,
We are officially starting our online learning on April 14. On the new schedule, your check-in day with Spanish/Tech/Yearbook will be on Fridays each week. I will post the assignments for the week on the Sunday before, using google classroom and email. Those assignments will be due by midnight on Friday. So the assignments posted on April 12-13 will be due by midnight on Friday April 17. Attendance will be taken based on the Friday check-In and completion of the assignments. You can work on the assignments at your own pace at any time during the week; you do not have to wait until Friday to work on the assignments. In addition, I plan to open a ZOOM meeting every Friday afternoon to let us do face-to-face questions or just visiting: 12:30pm for Tech/Yearbook, 1:00pm for Spanish 1, and 2:00pm for Spanish 2,3,4 (you will receive an “invitation” in your email). Please check google classroom, canvas, and your email daily to make sure that you are not missing anything in any class. I check my email constantly, so will be available to answer any questions every day. Following is an overview of this week’s assignments. If you are a student who has been identified as having “iffy” internet, all of the following activities will be available for you (or a parent) to pick up at school as a paper packet on April 13/14. The packets include ALL work for the next 5 weeks.
Spanish 1: A new vocab list has been posted to quizlet.com and linked to google classroom already in case you are bored and want to get a head start on learning the vocab. We will start with a review of numbers, colors, seasons, weather, and basic conversation. 1 video with basic questions and 4 edpuzzle assignments.
Spanish 2: We will still be working with conjugations in the past tense. We will start with a review of numbers, colors, seasons, weather, and basic conversation. 1 video with basic questions and 5 edpuzzle assignments.
Spanish 3 & 4: We will be finishing the novels that you started reading before this all started. We will start with a review of numbers, colors, seasons, weather, and basic conversation. 1 video with basic questions and 6 edpuzzle assignments.
Yearbook: I will be posting 13 actual pages from our yearbook that had errors for you to find and identify. These are all errors that were found and fixed before I sent the yearbook out for printing. In subsequent weeks, we will be practicing proofing and reviewing skills.
Tech: We will continue working with Khan Academy or with an end of year project. The details for the project will be posted on April 12/13 along with details about completing Khan Academy.
Stay healthy and safe.
